These images were made in Oporto a city in northern Portugal. The old city is world heritage listed and sits on the Douro river close to the sea. It is truely a city that time has forgotten. Countless buildings are decorated with hand painted tiles which have then been fired and attached to the exterior walls as you can see from the two top images. The bottom two images were taken in the cathedral which is 800 years old.
