The Champagne wine region has some wonderful old wineries with enormous history. The under ground drives where millions of bottles of champagne are stored have been carved in the chalk some of which date back to Roman times.

The cathedral in Reims is massive. It is similar to Notre Dame in Paris but sadly is in poor condition on the outside because they used the soft local stone. The height of the vaulted ceiling shown above takes your breath away.
